Africa Young Scientists (AYS) is a Non - for Profit Organization that aim to unite, mentor, and promote young scientists from Africa in exploring science, technology and innovation. AYS was established by Philip A. Adeniyi, Ph.D. as a small mentorship group in year 2014 and expanded into AYS on the 20th of July, 2019. AYS was created to bring together young, dynamic, brilliant and innovative Scientists in-making across Africa to pave ways for innovations for the benefit of mankind. This was done to fill the mentorship gaps between the upcoming scientists and the older generations, especially for female scientists.

Gliobiology
Dr. Adeniyi's contribution to the development and mentoring of young scientists is outstanding as proven by his move to establish Africa Young Scientists (AYS), a non-profit organization that aims to unite, mentor, and promote young scientists from Africa in exploring science, technology, and innovation. AYS was created to bring together young, dynamic, brilliant, and innovative scientists across Africa to pave the way for innovations for the benefit of humankind. According to him, this was done to fill the mentorship gaps between upcoming scientists and older generations, especially female scientists.
In addition to his work with AYS, Dr. Adeniyi has over seven years of teaching experience at the university level during which he taught several students. He authored two academic books during this period, "Biomedical Research Methods" in 2015 and "A Synopsis of Human Neuroanatomy" in 2011. These books served as great resources for postgraduate and undergraduate students in medical and allied fields, respectively.
Patricia Adamu Policy

Patricia Adamu Policy is a biomedical researcher with an interest in developmental and cognitive neuroscience, an active volunteer with years of experience and a media and beauty enthusiast. She is a master’s degree student at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Nigeria where she also obtained her bachelor’s degree in Human Anatomy.
Trish as she is fondly called is passionate about making a difference through girl child education advocacy and science awareness initiatives.
Sodiq Gbolahon Adeoti
AYS Media Coordinator
Sodiq Gbolahon Adeoti is a motivated and Knowledge loving personality with a vibrant commitment toward the development of humanity. Being a member of AYS, I also function as the media coordinator of this prestigious scientific community. I am a medical Scientist honored with a first degree in B.Sc. Human Anatomy from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin. As a Medical Scientist in training, I have an undiluted interest in Translational research and medical education.
Coupled with this, I am a versatile communicator with a positive social presence and quality. I am committed to the long-term development of young Scientists in Africa with a major aim of laying vegetation that will give off a better scientific community.
